NASOE is an organization targeting individuals responsible for the operation and maintenance of stationary steam and hot water boilers, steam turbines and electrical generation systems. The National Association of Stationary Operating Engineers offers certifications for:

• Management/Supervisory Certification - Responsible for entire plant.
• Supervisory Certification - Responsible for individual shift.
• Non-supervisory Certification - Group Leader.
• Non-supervisory Certification - Shift Engineer.
• Combined Cycle (Brayton and Rankin) Endorsement for Gas Turbines

As well as certification for:

• Steam and hot water boilers having an MAWP greater than 15 psi
• Steam & hot water boilers having an MAWP of less than 15 psi
